Military Bikes and 1945 Husqvarna S/78 Military Bike Trailer

I ended up using a different style hitch that was less common, but nonetheless, the trailer and bikes are finished. The first four pics are the 1942 Husqvarna M/42 Swedish Military Bicycle hooked up to the 1945 Husqvarna S/78 Military Bicycle Trailer. The last four pics are the 1953 Monark M/104A Swedish Military Bicycle hooked up to the 1945 Husqvarna S/78 Military Bicycle Trailer. No tools are needed to assemble the trailer or mount it to a bike.

Comments? Any thoughts?
Hey J,

Hope it's alright if I tap into an older thread. Love what you were able to do with the M104, it seriously looks freshly manufactured.
Wanted to ask, if the need ever came about, where you were able to get parts or specifications about your bike? I have a civilian version, Monark brand, and am in the process of working on it. There is, unfortunately, very little information I've been able to find, and my efforts to prod into Swedish sources haven't been as successful as hoped. Due to the similarities in design, I just thought I'd see what you were able to find.

P.S., interesting that the tires on mine were actually a slightly different size (Monark-branded, 28 x 1 5/8 x 1 1/2, 700x38c).

Thanks!

I have the same bicycle trailer. I have used it quite a bit in the past eight years, and now I need to replace the tires. The original tires say "20x2" but I cannot find any tires that fit, and neither can my local bicycle mechanic. Any insight you have as to what tires can replace the original tires would be appreciated. I've included a photo of the trailer when I used it in a parade. The mini trailer was for show only, not for actual camping. Thanks in advance for advice re: tire size.

Believe it or not, I found the answer to this one. I had to simplify my search terms to what I knew about the original tires. The sidewall said "20x2" I suspected they were manufactured in Sweden. I googled "Swedish 20x2" . Bingo. https://www.jacksbikes.com/schwalbe-hs-159-126544.aspx. Ordered. Installed. Satisfied.

Those wheels did look bigger than a 20". Glad to hear you were able to find a pair with that ISO.
