Got her painted and partially back together for 1 last mock-up before the fenders, seat, new grips rear rack and a pair of saddlebags in back and a leather tool bag up front. It's cloudy so the pictures are a bit darker then in person.

I’ve been piecing this one together for about 6 months. Finding appropriately patina’d parts here and there. I just about got it but do still intend to put a set of black enameled rain gutter fenders and a rack on it. I did ride it for the fist time yesterday. Not bad😎

I got this bike a little over a week ago and didn’t know what I was going to do to it, I had no thoughts of fixing it up but I got a wild hare and it’s becoming a very nice daily rider. It came with a butterfly kickstand but I took it off and put a center stand on it.

and now minus it still needs an age appropriate seat and chain guard as well as a few other things

the next set of pictures the bike should all be ready to be a daily rider or tear it back down and get to the original paint and pinstripes. Eventually it will be blue and even more transformed.

This got to my house at 8pm today. I don't know why UPS keeps arriving at such a late hour. Oh, well. I stripped the bike down to its frame. I used this product that I wish I had found years ago. It is called Starbrite Ultimate aluminum cleaner/restorer. I wasn't sure if it would work. Wow I was surprised. It cleaned that frame as if I had used a buffing wheel on it for hours. You have to leave the product on for 10-15 minutes and you have to leave it wet. You have to make sure that it doesn't drip or it will leave clean lines! After the 10 minutes or so you raise it off with water. It helps if you use a Scott pad to get out any tough grime. I used it twice. After the last wash I put Mothers polish on it. Wow it looks great without having to buff it. I will be buffing tomorrow but this product reduced the time it takes to clean a 83 year old frame.
