I don’t even really want or need the handlebar,
I’m just pointing out what ought to be pretty obvious, if you want to see what some folks might be willing to pay for a handlebar like that, then let them at least have a chance to see what you’ve got available.
$175!

Then just list it in the for sale section for $125
An auction usually requires at least a couple of bidders.
One guy is more of a direct for sale type of listing.
There ought to be a required amount of time that a listing has to run in the Deal or No Deal format, to allow enough time for people to be able to see what is up for bids.
A half an hour during dinner time, is definitely not sufficient.

I've stated this numerous times about auction duration. Should be a couple days minimum. Give everyone a shot at it. Not all of us are on here all the time and most if us have to work. Yes... I'm on my break. At work.

You should come up to Jim's swap Marty. It's going to ve great. Lots of killer stuff coming.

Problem there is bidders are only bound to honor their offer for 24 hrs per the rules. I'm on board with that. The seller could possibly miss out on a deal if that bidder decides to take his money elsewhere past that 24hr mark before the offer is accepted. And then what if all other interest has also dried up. Snoozing and losing can go both ways.

As I stated... not enough time. Change the 24 hr rule. If it's a FIRE SALE... list it in the for sale section. It's that simple. Right? If you need money in 24hrs... it should be in the for sale section with a price. If not, let it ride. If it doesn't sell, try ebay or post other with in the for sale section after it's withdrawn.

Thanks for the passionate comments fellas. While it is an auction there are currently no rules that I see that have a time requirement. If the seller is happy with an offer they say "deal" or "no deal" if not ok with offer. Listen I'm not gonna tell anyone what to do if you don't want to miss out don't go too far away from the DOND section...and give strong offers. Again I posted a new set of steer horns so check it out.
P.s. there is a rule to leave comments out of DOND section. Look below 👇 👇 let's keep it professional. Doesn't look good for new crowds. They may have what we need/want....let's not scare them away. But I heard the comments loud and clear. It is annoying to miss out on cool hard to find items.... Unless it's a glass aerocycle fender reflector stuff is out there...and it'll come to market.

there is no time rule=period...when you hit the price you want in your head=its sold! others need not apply-simple. trying to coerse someone to go against their word doesn't seem right. btw-i need those bars for a 1940 rider build! jose/sj biker -who has integrity-has clearly added he has more coming up-grab one of those!
