Awesome! Yep, he was doing great, bopping right along and having a good time! I'm back home now, only rode 4 days.
 
I don’t know if you saw it but the seller included an extra (straight) fork leaning against the back wheel.
For your sake, I hope that extra fork is longer than the NOS 70s replacement fork that I had...it came up to be just long enough for the headset, minus the top nut.
Even if it is short, you can still have the original one straightened, not too big of a deal. Prewar ladies' forks happen to be the right length too.

I tested the replacement fork this evening. It will be a fine fit.
