The SN being under the bottom bracket indicates it is '52 or earlier...so that would be a 'B', not an 'R'. That would put it in the range of the missing Schwinn serial numbers, probably a '46. The kickstand should taper...a feature on '46 and some '47s, from what I understand.
The MO5 would make it a 1965 model year...generally these are referred to as Spaceliner frames, but there were many different model names depending on who sold them (Spaceliner was Sears' name for this model).
Edit: here is a link to 13 pages of Spaceliner info...:cool...
Everything about it looks Schwinn to me (Predator), except the serial. Pretty sure not a Murray, to my knowledge they never had dropouts that looked like that (almost all pinched tubes, and the 'Team' Murrays that weren't pinched, still didn't look like that).
If it isn't Schwinn...its probably...
If its an '86 or '87 (maybe more years in this range, but those two for sure), it should have the year on the head tube decal...
...on the blue '87, you can kinda see an MO7, which probably means your MO6 is an '86.
If you want to read what info I've gathered on L.W. Keenan, and F.P. Keenan, check out this thread...

Didn't even try. 99% chance fake. If it was real, the ad was already 3.5hrs old, I'm 2-2.5hrs away, and email only contact. So, no real chance for me...if it we're actually legit.
Ugh...I want to believe...but I can't. Usually a quick reverse image search or a search for similar ads in different markets show these ads for the frauds they are. But, I couldn't find anything on this one in my cursory search...
They did a limited batch of white walls last year...and were talking about doing 20"ers as well. I assume they keep in stock on the black walls in 24" and 26" all the time...they are listed in their catalog. This was the contact info for the white walls, the number matches the contact number on...
The bars probably aren't right, they would have been a cruiser bar. Its a strandie more than a klunker...search for Univega Gran Cruiser for pics/info.

Search for '41 Murray, Mercury, Elgin, WF, Derby frame and see if you can find any examples to set your starting price. Anything else done in this thread is essentially making it into an auction, and that doesn't jive well. Though, your inbox is probably going to start looking like ebay soon...
I really wish someone would pull the trigger on this one. I'm almost willing to do it just for the rack...but, I don't need a third spaceliner ('stratoflite') frame.
Essentially giving it away. Maybe if you put it up on the PIF thread, free with $100 shipping.

I think 'H' is 1930 as per the Mr Columbia site...
I will point out, the Mr Columbia site may be gone...but, it is not forgotten by the internet...

Well...military ships, fighters, bombers...all 'she'. I never heard a helicopter called a 'she'...but, I didn't work directly with the flight crews, so I wouldn't know for sure. I don't think you are going to find any WWII fighters or bombers with Clark Gable painted on the nose...in a bikini...
I think you just happen to have a serial that falls into the Schwinn format...I don't believe Western Flyer contracted with Schwinn. A picture would be the best help for IDing the bike. Serial location, and any other stamped numbers, would also be helpful.

I'm a huge fan of DragULa, but for the most part...there is definitely a pre- and post- hollywood split for Barris. TV, movie, and stars cars kind of took over as the emphasis...the cool customs of the earlier years were left behind. The departure of Sam Barris was probably the 'beginning of the...
Hank Asylum, Fisher Klunker, Trek Sawyer, Transition Klunker, Kona A'ha, Kona Humuhumunukunukuapua'a, WTP Avenger, GBP Red Menace...the Avenger only has two chromo tubes, I believe...and the Red Menace isn't chromo. They should all stand up to plenty of abuse...but, most of these will abuse your...
Sounds like a 90s Murray. The third letter on the MO number should give you the year...as reference, 'J' is '93, 'K' is '94, etc...
Could also be a silver, or possibly black, sticker on the seat tube near the cranks...that should have the year on it as well.

It would be a decent frame (boys version) to use as a Bassett Star Cruiser tribute/replica/whatever...as long as you don't let anybody get closer than 20ft or so ;)

late '80s to mid '90s. There's been a lady trying to sell a boys version on CL for $65 for the last 2+ years (she flips bikes for college kids). I offered $60, she won't sell as she has $65 in it and won't take a loss. I guess we are both being a bit stubborn :).

I keep a bike at work, for trips to the pop machine on the other side of the building. I work swingshift, one of three people...so there is no one to run over ;). I figure I probably average about 1.5miles/night.

On my RRB thread, a member (also a member here) posted another Champion badge, wondering if it was related to the L.W. Keenan Champion...
...I don't think it is related to L.W. Keenan...oddly enough, the script is dead on to an Australian Champion brand, but I can't imagine what the connection...
While not a hardware store, I've been collecting information on bikes sold through a store in Portland, OR... 'L.W. Keenan and Co'. I stumbled across the brand while looking at CL bikes. Went and checked it out (seller turned out to be CABE member)...and bought it. Then became so consumed by...
