Finally riding a big boys bike
Up for DOND is my as found tall frame 1938 Excelsior badged Schwinn Motorbike with locking fork & pork chop front brake . I havenāt even cleaned the dust off of it. This is a very clean & well taken care of bikeā¦the tank is absolutely rock solid. I doubt this bike was ever out in the weather. Even the original seat is in excellent usable condition. The Goodyear G-3 tires that are on it do hold air but are pictured a little low & they donāt even have any visible dry rot or cracks. The battery tray inside the tank is also very clean & also still has the original Arnold Schwinn horn button on the bars. The bike was repainted probably in the 50s but it actually has a cool look as is or a great candidate for restorationā¦itās completely up to you! The woman that I purchased this off of gave me the history of the bikeā¦she told me that her father who was born in 1927 purchased this bike new for his paper route using stamps.
