Yes original with no touch ups. It appears to have had very little use over all these years. It's two months newer than I am.

Could have used the Simplex info about 60+ years ago. My 1961 Continental came with that Simplex unit. Very troublesome. Never got the owners manual from the dealer. A year later I bought a different derailleur when I was visiting in California. Drop bar as well. Don't remember which derailleur. probably European.
