1973 Schwinn Paramount Women's P65 questions

One unique detail on the rear brake cable, on the shorter framed P65's, is the placement of cable stops for the rear brakes. Some had a single stop on the rear side of the seat tube and had a bare cable up to a pulley mounted on the seat tube clamp bolt. This is because the shorter frames had no room for the bracket with center pull brakes. I have two in the collection fitted this way.

Stuckbolt If yours is an A or B serial it would have had an Olympic ring seatmast decal like a 72 , if C through M just the rings.. here are the 73 ladies paramount pages.

Thanks Trainman! Mine is a C73 so I will go the rings only. Interesting that I’ve seen later Paramounts, after 75, with the Olympic Ring seat mast. Do you know if Schwinn reinstated the decal or maybe someone applied afterwards. What is the backstory on the rings anyway? Was there a significant Olympic win for Schwinn?

I have heard a dispute with the olympic commette was why it was replaces with world champion rings you are supposed to have someone ride your bike to a World Champion or Olympic victory to use them on your bikes. after 73 the seatmast decal is a repaint with the wrong decals or just a replacement decal
