He carried a pistol until he left his home town. Watch that vid of the first episode, he was given his dads shotgun when he was leaving town.
Did not know that. Well then, I'll just tell everyone that's his gun. Thanks for the info, Gary.

I've had this old Ranger hanging flat from the ceiling for a long time. It's hard to take a proper photo of it. Took one with the shop lights on and another with them off. The camera view from lying flat on the shop floor:

Notice the shotgun resting on the top of the frame and pistol attached to the side of the fork... The Roadmaster has a sixshooter attached just below the spring on the fork.

I like hanging these bikes flat from the ceiling and displaying junk on them. It's just a little different and adds to the excitement of our hobby, being able to display the other junk we accumulate.

Finished the "Paladin " belt today.
Sweet job! Richard Boone as Paladin in "Have Gun - Will Travel" was one of my favorites. I had a facsimile of one of his business cards (wire Paladin, San Francisco). It took me a while to figure out that "Wire" wasn't his first name. I don't remember where I got the card. Have fun!

Back about 1960-62 my friend's older brother met Richard Boone and asked for an autograph. Boone handed him a "Have Gun Will Travel" card. A board game came out when the show was popular. It contained the cards. I had one of those. Many years ago I had a thousand of these cards printed up by bicycle historian , the late John Polizzi, for myself. At the time I was a carpenter, that also liked old bikes.......
