Sonic-Scout look at all the interest that bike is getting here on the Cabe, I think it's a keeper. On a personal note you said in your first post your gramps hand writing isn't what it was. Does your Gram and Gramps know how to syn or do you communicate with them in writing. Just curious, probably none of my business.

My grandpa used to know his way around the alphabet, but not so much these days. My grandma is pretty advanced. They both learned later in life and I applaud their efforts.
That is awesome! I respect that. I don't know that I could learn to do that myself if I had to sign for myself or to someone

I lost my grandparent's when I was 12 year's old, I'm 65 now so you are blessed to still have them. All I have are some old photo's and some of grandma's recipes. You can always say I got that bike from my grampa. They sound like great people.

I never knew a blood Grandpa, lost my my grandma on my dad's side at 83 but I would have done anything for that woman No Matter what it was and my mom's mom is a selfish narcissist so no relationship there anymore, and albeit both my parents are alive I kinda feel like my parents favor my younger sister a lot more. I agree once Sonic_scout finds anything there she should consider keeping this Unique Gem because of sentiments & it may be the most unique

Your bike reminds me of the bike posted by @guzziworksman on post #27 of this thread. That rear end looks similar and potentially has the same style brake with all the little parts inside. I'd be cautious opening that up. I would have a big tray underneath it to catch all the bits that might want to roll away.
