Mack the fork
Look Ma, No Hands!
For those of you who are knowledgeable on the subject of prewar Morrow hub rebuilds:
I am using parts from two separate, late 1930’s early 1940’s Morrow hubs to build one good one.
It appears that I have enough good parts to complete one good hub; except for one part
I am in need of the largest of the three bearing cages that are used in the hub. According to the Morrow factory drawings,
the hub utilizes three bearing cages: a “small” , “medium” , and “large”.
I need the “large”, as the cage is rusty, broken, and the bearings are deeply pitted.
my question is: Is the large Morrow bearing cage assembly the same part that appears in other, (non Morrow) hubs , and
interchangeable ?
Please advise.
Thanks!
