Need Pictures and info on TOC Davis Dayton Bicycle Hubs and Wood Rims

-

Finally riding a big boys bike
I Recently Purchased a 1898 Dayton Model 22 Road Racer. Unfortunately the wheels were traded out over the years. I need some pictures of of early Davis Dayton hubs, Pretty sure they will be Barrel hubs and fixed gear also looking for the wood rim profile that was used, and spoke counts. Any Pictures and Literature would be greatly appreciated. I have a Lester I will add to this post as soon as i dissect it. sorry about my great spelling

Have matched pair of 1898 Dayton, barrel (cylindrical) hubs
mounted in mahogany-stained, original-Dayton, wood-wheels ...
36-spoke rear ... 32-spoke front.

For 28-inch by 1.5-inch glue-ons. Crescent cross-section, Dayton
wood rims of the day.

Some waves in rims. May be able to steam and true.

Machine is set up with Eclipse 1898 System ... the crank-
case clutch is not working. But there is a silver lining in
that last statement.

The rear-hub clutch in the machine allows for hard-pedaling ...
forward ... and also allows for coasting ... no brakes. The rider
can pedal backwards for days -- all while moving forward.

Would this have been an 1898 scorching-delight ... or
an illegal racing-mod way back when ? Personally .. I think
this is a bad-ass set-up that makes me ... (sorry, am not at liberty
to indicate anything personal -- PG Rating Restrictions).

Cannot get fresh fotos 'til late next week -- no camera.

These are a few fotos I got from seller who is a CABEr.

post script ... almost forgot ... factory-tied spokes .......
