The bottom bracket from Holland has cleared customs. I have faced the tube ends and purchased a lot of cool bits from the BMX Museum.

@DrunkRabbit supplied the bike via Ratbikes forum. :) It was an incredibly tough find.
he has visitation rights forever….

Finally some progress @DrunkRabbit to share. I ended up ordering a second bottom bracket from Holland and sure enough the original one shows up 3 months late! an extra …
Late last year I found a 20” Huffy laying on an old mattress left short of the dump. It has been handy to mock up my bike and get some measurements. I wanted to compare what I had in 1975 to the Schwinn Scrambler and picked up this Orange example from Cabe member Frampton. We did not have Schwinn’s as most of you know in Canada. Admittedly the Scrambler is a heavier duty bike but one nice finding was the Scrambler is approx an inch lower and longer which will allow me to introduce longer crank arms (165mm) to my Brillant bike and actually put some miles on it like the old days!
Another interesting to me development and perhaps @juvela was the previous mentioned Gold bike located in Ohio is coming to me after all thanks to Cabe member @Kato (Mike) the decal on the guard reads Hawthorn. It’s an early Wards offering before they went non lug identical to my Brillant sold in Canada. I’m going to trick one out with period parts 75 and pre Bmx and make the other identical to the day. Fun !
