If you have any plans to paint one of the frames, then I might suggest Dodger blue and naming that Raleigh, “Raley”.

Hello once again Mr. Bonney,

both machines appear to have commenced life as early 1970's Gran Prix models

now with very few of their original fittings remaining

on the gold/black one the only original bits appear to be the stem/bar set, the brake set & the spoke protector

its present wheels may have been built on the original Normandy Sport large flange 36 hole quick release hubs

someone had to get brutish to mount that Shimano 600EX headset as the cycle's steerer was threaded 26TPI rather than the 24TPI required for the headset 😱

both frames constructed with BOCAMA lug pattern Nr. 84/II and Vagner fork crown pattern Nr. DP+

frame size of both machines likely 21 1/2" nominal as measured centre-to-top

one can only shudder to think what previous owner must have had to pay for you to remove these treasures from their premises... 😲

---

cycles would have appeared as here ex-works, catalogue page of 1973 for U.S. market -

Juvela thanks for your expertise I thought about p.m. you but figured it can be a thread for the future of the Internet to see

in your opinion are there any parts that are of value here or what would you do with them if they were your bikes? they are too small for me as I am 6’4”

the red/black one you could leave alone and sell as a bicycle

---

the gold/black one is a more complex decision
there is nothing particularly valuable there parts-wise
it does not merit putting in much labour or treasure

one option would be to break it down and put the componentry into your parts bins, if you have such, against future use/need

the fact that they are English Raleighs is certainly a plus from a salability standpoint
