All sorted. Hopefully the rain eases up and I get a ride in later in the week. For now I’ll have to be satisfied blasting around the warehouse at work.

I see you have 180 redline cranks
With the stock chainring that’s a nice combo & look. What’s going on with the kickback hub ? It can take some getting used too with the long cranks
Hi Che. Cranks are 175. I find 180's too long. The hub was rebuilt and I'm fine with the operation of the kickback mechanism but the friction and roughness under the pedals which may be inherent with this hub I really don't like. It also sounds noisy when spinning the wheel fast off the ground and sounds like it needs grease. I'll run it for a while but will most likely go for a setup with more gears soon.

Thanks Che. I agree, a sweet single speed coaster hub would have been a better option. I just like a little more speed to try and keep up with some of the blokes on more modern bikes on the fast sections of bike trails I ride on.
nothing like a nice two-speed! yours probably needs a little TLC? I picked up a two-speed not long ago and put it on my 62 double-straight bar...rides like a dream! Super quiet too! I need to get a bell or something now so folks can hear me coming! Kick it in to low gear going up hills...life saver!

I got it from a guy who has been rebuilding them for years and have no other experience with them. I may pull it down and have a look at it. I have a new 2 speed kickshift Stumey Archer on my Colson and its awesome. I love your bike btw.
