I picked this Exerciser recently and it has a '66 crank and Jr. Stingray bars but has a Chicago badge. Did the chicago badges start in '67? The seat is in incredible shape and is the reason I bought it. The sweet '66 Stingray crank, stem and handlebars are a bonus. Is there any market for the speedometer on these? How many years did they offer the HD 7000 seat? Seems like only a year or 2. @WillWork4Parts @koolbikes any help?
'66, '67, '68 had the HD seat, 1967 did not have a console, 1968 had flat handlebar change. 1969 had Tourist Style Seat.

It certainly still has the 65 headset top nut. This and the white bike with the no-Chicago badge and other 65 parts just goes to show you that the early bikes were a mash up of whatever parts they had on hand as well. I'm curious, is the steer tube smaller too? Or just the stem?

There were Deluxe and Standard versions of the Exercise bike too, I believe that was the difference in consoles... possibly other equipment on earlier models.

The stem is the older larger size, no date just max HT
So it can be used on a 65, nice! You don't have to worry so much about breaking the steer tube on a stationary bike!! Ha
That one must have been sitting low enough to make the gap between stem and top nut look larger.

Yeah, I barely see anything that cheap anymore... I haven't been yard/estate saling in a long while either, since I have to work weekends.

Standard had no console.
XR2 Standard & XR3 Deluxe model for 1967 is when Deluxe Exerciser name was first used.
XR1-0 Standard & XR5 Deluxe model for 1977 also.

What was the serial number on that bike? That is a very early version of the Exerciser, and looks to be an XR-1 that came out in 66.
This does not make sense to me not a '66 serial or is it?
