I picked up this early 1900's CCM Cleveland 114 this week. Not all correct, seat is Persons(very nice shape), pedals are Wald, rear hub is Perry. Tires are new Bontrager. Wheels are clinchers, front had a split that was fixed. All the nickel plating was painted silver. I have since cleaned off the silver paint. Shock works ok. Now to find period pedals and seat for it and rear hub.
Just some parts from an estate sale- a brand new Suntour V-GT Luxe derailleur from February 1974 (QB date code), still sealed in the bag and a Schwinn approved derailleur guard for a krate(?) that was either taken right off or never used. It pays off to root in the mystery boxes!
I won't be able to get good photos of all the stuff I got at Haysville today until tomorrow, so for now, I'll just leave this little preview of probably my favorite find out of the bunch, and post everything next week.
A bit quieter this week. I got a decent toy Bandai Japan 1959 Cadillac ( I can't get enough of these/downsized then bought more) in the OG box. It's close to mint, the rear window is shrunk ( pretty common) and the box was missing a piece so I stuck one in there and did some amatuer art to blend in! Ha! I did get out for a ride on my Honda 1964 C-100 Cub ( had to sit on a towel and piece of carpet as I'm getting new foam in the OG seat by a pal who has LOTS of experience doing motorcycle seats), my 1958 Triumph Trophy, and my 1958 Pontiac Bonneville. Bicycles come out next, still pretty cold, tons of gravel and sand and potholes around, hadn't driven the 650 or the Cub at all ever ( got in Winter) and only about 10 miles of Fall driving in the Poncho.
Got some tools and moving blankets at a garage sale, found a old picture of my dads mustang which he still has ! My uncle gave me his owners manual for his varsity he gave me a while back, and some pictures of my great grandpas 1967 ? John Deere 1010 he bought new, when it was restored in the late 80s still in the family.
