Part of the beauty of it is that there's no one perfect bike. Different bikes do different things well, so it's good to have a couple different types around to do the different kinds of riding one likes to do.

If I had to pick one design I like the best, it would be a simple diamond frame bike with 26 inch wheels and a 23 inch frame, internal hub gear (how ever many gears you need on your roads - the Sturmey AW or FW would be my pick), and cable-caliper hand brakes. After that, add a saddle bag and some lights. It would look a lot like a basic Raleigh Sports or Schwinn New World type bike.

Those rocket bikes look to me like they’d fold up if you’re say over 150lb and going for a case of your fav brewskis? Or a first year grad in hey this will work and pay me before you ride it

The rocket bikes are actually well built and not heavy or bulky as some people (not you but I’ve had others ask) believe either. I am over 150 pounds (lol) and I regularly ride them!
They are easy to ride too.
They are great bikes, that’s why I have 5 and would buy more.

If you travel to Michigan stop and see for yourself 🙂

It’s a 29” prewar Schwinn motorbike! One of my best riding bikes!!

I can’t believe those fenders fit. I used GT smoothies 26” and I could see problems. Maybe I’ll give it another look see this winter. I’d lean towards trying the 28” rain gutters with my patience. One thing that needs to be said check out the ground clearance wow
