Looks consistent with a war era bike, 1942 probably. It has black-out parts and the wide-set round blade fork.

How about a New Departure 3 speed conversion, and a front drum brake? That would be a pretty spectacular look.

But remember the purpose of these bikes was to supply "cheap transportation" to the Masses of War Plant workers.

A New Departure Three Speed conversion and a Fore Brake Hub were the two "most expensive" options you could select. My guess is that combined they would come close to doubling the price of the bike.

Yes, they would be cool, but..........

Looks like its had a couple of touch ups to the paint too. Note the black on the left grip and the paint on the lower headset cup...also missing the gold pins there. I'm trying to give myself reasons not to bring this one home...I already have one bike sitting out under the back porch. Lol

I like it too. The blackout parts and painted rims always get my interest. Thank you for adding it @elginkid.
