Hi @johan willaert

Thanks for the update (-:

Perhaps you (or someone else here!) can answer a question I have about this bike?

MG141623 is ex. @Bozman and I have the serial number confirmed through the G519 site.

I also have listed MG141628 as @izee2 . Since badly stamped 8's can resemble 3's I have never been certain if they are two different bikes or not, or if MG14123 has been owned by both Bozman and Izee2, and there is just a transcription error in the number.

Any help would be welcome. (-:

Thanks in anticipation.

Best Regards,

Adrian

Hi All,

Please find below an update on all known identifiable WW2 Columbia military bicycles, correct to April 2025.

A .pdf is attached for downloading.

If yours is here, and you can add details, or if you know of one not on the list, please let me know.

As ever, Thank you to those who have contributed their details over the years.

The two most surprising bikes to turn up over this period are the so far unique ladies USMC- bicycle (Model/designation unknown).

And the 1945 serialled G519. This one really came from out of the blue, and it would be fascinating to know more.

Best Regards,

Adrian

Hi Johan @johan willaert

Thanks for the additional number, always welcome.

I'm quite sure it's MF17408, comparing with MG94023 below, the top loop of the 9 is almost a circle, which doesn't seem to show on the MF17403 stamping, so more likely a double stamped 0.

The last Westfield made on December 31st 1941 was MF17433 (so if it was a 9 it'd be a 1942 bike instead!) (-:

That said, you did say in October 23 that MF17493 / H12 had been sold in the UK and was going into a Belgian based collection. With the poorly stamped 0 and the ease of misreading an 8 as a 3, and both being in Belgium, are we sure it's not the same bike?

Thanks for the help.

Best Regards,

Adrian

Yes, my mistake, it is the same bike....
Saw this one and the women's model personally last weekend and took the photos myself...
