Looks like a late 1930's Westfield; might have been sold as a Sears Elgin (if a badge would fit?).
Thank you! There wasn't any badge on it. The crank set was really nice, I wish I could remember what it looked like. Based on the repaint and the condition of the chainring, I'm guessing someone fixed it up at some point, then parted it out.

It's got a serial number
It looks like it says:

Got my rat "Calico" out for a ride this evening. 1947 Roadmaster with all original paint, just not all from the same bike.:tearsofjoy:

Are you even into Rat Bikes if you don't have a totally mix and matched CWC? Great style. Love to see a whole bike of off tones. Shows progress and that appreciation for a concept coming together. I always thought "fully finished" rats looked funny. Matching parts with a few quirks sticking out haphazardly,. I love the look of the search.

[ft. CWC 1951 frame and mixed era media, mostly CWC as well]

Not all mismatched bikes are CWC. My '57 BFG Truck.

Hey Austin, where was this show? I go to alot of these antique power shows around Wisconsin, Illnois ans Indiana. Looks like a good time. RideOn. Mark.
I just noticed you're in Kiel! You probably do the Symco and Iola shows, too, then! I'd not be surprised if we've met at a swap or something!

What I'm saying is CWC makes a killer Ratbike for the enthusiast. No slam against other makers, I just like CWC personally. Rats come in all shapes and sizes. It's the unbound use of what's available that makes the rat, not the Make, of course.

My Snyder out on a frozen lake in Shawano, WI about nine years ago. I've no problem shaking hands that a good rat is defined by its character and not who made it. 🤝
[Surely isn't defined by how well it rides in snow, I walked it most of the way out there]
