sometimes you just have to do a search with google images. I would start with 1956 Huffy just to be safe, then do each successive year until the exact bike shows up. 1960 to 1965 would be my guess.

edit: did not see the number had been found. 🙂

He found the serial. It's 1959. Or at least that's when they stamped it. I wouldn't rule out a 1960 model. Such things happened all the time at Schwinn, as they apparently stamped the parts before they welded them together, and also may have started early on next years models. I have no idea how Huffy handled that.

Thank you everyone for the input! Now it's time to sell it!
I am thinking of listing it on Craigslist and Nextdoor for $175. Do you think that's a fair price for SF Bay Area?
I see some similar bikes from $350 to $650 after restoration.
Anyone interested? I want to give CABErs first chance...
Thanks

here is the face people who do not live here will make on that price. 😲

it will not look out of place at that price, but also may not sell... I say give it a shot and see what happens. I'd put the picture of the red one in the ad so those with no imagination can see what it could look like.... maybe check ebay sold listings to see what similar bikes have sold for.

it has to be worth at least $100.00 to someone here in the Bay Area

yep that would be about a $50 bike tops in my neck of the woods and I'd happily take $35 for it! Left coasters pay more for everything! GLWTS V/r Shawn
