Update on K39770
A few details I picked up on that I missed with my original posting.

Seat post is also blacked out.
The tires have age quartering, but am not sure what the year should be to start with. I found through the catalog that the whirlwind tire was stock on the 42 w1m and the breeze tire was an available upgrade. 3 speed hubs were not available for ordering.
The rims appear to be slightly different from tubular s5 ones made later. I guess these are painted superiors, and were stock on the coaster version, but they are otherwise unmarked as to being either superior or zephyr. Same overall schwinn size tho. The spoke nibs no longer blacked but are not brass, but steel.
The original schwinn whirlwind tube valves, all metal schraders, pulled out of the tubes while pumping up. Not sure if they can be re-valved, never heard of it. I have been able to replace them with some Bates tubes i had laying around to keep the look. Including pictures of the markings on the original tires, now on storage rims to stretch them back into shape. Plus a couple overall pics of the current build, with schwinn marked stimsonite reflector, cat plate topper, and some lights added for the local 6mi "glow rides"

@SirMike1983, Looking up your serial number (H94474) puts it right at the end of 1941 or the beginning of 1942 according to the list. And @rennfaron, since you got the wheels, the seller's pictures show a Morrow rear hub, which should have a date code. Have you looked to see what it is? And are the rims Superiors or something else? If you get the chance, please.

Lobdell rims. The only number stampings I see on the Morrow hub are "K1 36 13." Based on that website I assume that would mean 1941.

I think you're right, "K-1" would be the 1st quarter of 1941. I believe "36" is the number of spokes and "13" maybe the gage? Thank you!

Just noting that it's marked as "K1" and not "K-1." And ya 36 makes the most sense for spokes.

That bike is a fillet brazed frame, which is nice. One of the fork blades is a little bent. It's not awful, but my concern is it has more give to it than normal. I'm wondering if it has been bent and straightened before. I'll put it on the fork jig and see what turns up when I get to this bike.

Cool and unusual New Hudson sign. I've got an early post-war New Hudson Silver Arrow with a Reynolds 531 frame in line for cleaning and reassembly.

Looks like a Defense model to me with only some blackout parts. @GTs58 pointed out the single rear mudguard stay already. Lobdell Victory saddle and reverse paint mudguards and wheels are sweet! Frame paint and decals look really nice too.

That kickstand doesn't look like a Miller to me for some reason. Any ideas? The rear reflector seems different than any I've seen. ??

You're right, the kickstand looks like something besides a Miller. And I just pulled one of those reflector buttons off of one of my bikes, it was held on with a wingnut inside the fender and I needed more clearance for the tire, so it's probably a replacement. The original must have gotten damaged or lost.
