cant go by dropouts alone. ser # and hubs.. and parts. ser # says its a 1939. Its a 1939, bet that
The front facing dropouts DID NOT EXIST ON ANY PREWAR BALLOON MODELS, NOT A SINGLE EXAMPLE HAS BEEN FOUND, EVER. Not to mention the integrated kickstand mount, it literally wasn’t invented yet. As for the serial numbers, it was a mess with the fire, and anything before that is so hard to rely on that the frame’s shape, construction, and other clues to tell the years apart. Please some of us have been doing this for like 20+ years, it’s our area of expertise.

not all pre war schwinn frames have "c" style or track drop outs.. your arrogance shows your ignorance..

serial numbers matter for a reason..

I dont just make stuff up.
I feel like I’m arguing with a child. Find just 1 PREWAR SCHWINN BALLOON FRAME WITH DROPOUTS. That’s all I want to see, just one.

Also track rear forks are not dropouts BASED ON YOUR DIAGRAM.

ALSO many Schwinn serial numbers were used up to 3 times, prewar, post war, and post 1955. That’s why you may look up a serial number and your prewar comes up post war, or it says your Schwinn is either a 1952 or 1958.

PLEASE take this as a learning experience and stop arguing. If you’re not sure, ASK QUESTIONS.

Thanks.

Serial numbers do matter when taken in the context of the construction of the bike. This is why when anyone posts just a pic of the serial number we ask to see the complete bike. What you've displayed here is your ignorance.
