this is the correct term for thus type of rim/tyre

common modern term is "clincher" which is incorrect

a true clincher rim/tyre is something different and obsolete by generations

The o.p. should check to see if his rims are NOT hooked; I have always taken the "W/O" stamping to mean "use a wire-bead tyre, not a folding one".

Basically three types of rims; tubular(glue on racing tires), clinchers(have a bead inside the rim) and tubeless. What's important is that you don't make the mistake of trying to put 700 tires on a 27" rim. Close, but no cigar.
