Davis made decal on Harley Davidson motorcyke and bikes

The pictures are challenging (for me) to understand.

The first picture in post #1 looks to me to read, “RICA” as in “Made in U.S. America”.

No, there is no evidence of ever having any decal.

Interesting... The problem is you can never tell it's over 100 years ago anything could happen they could have decided not to put them on there whatever but it doesn't mean they can't be on there

Look.. there it is a decal.. mine is in Harley-Davidson green unless the gold changed that's possible..second photo looks like hd green..hmmmmm

I'm really surprised nobody's asked the question of this decal.. it's presence can help date the hd and davis bicycles to 1917 and 1918 with this decal and the later ones didn't have them.. if that's not the case how come the others claim that 17 and 18s don't have them .I know this is original on the bike .but the question is why..this can also identify "original" hd bikes that are fake patina claiming to be hds.. so why the silence?

Hate to say this but silence is a dead giveaway to a problem that will show it's ugly truth..
