First time I've seen that stand removal method. With the sprag broken off like that I would bet it would have come out, piece of cake doing it the correct way by depressing the retainer.

If you've got the first gen tool, it doesn't work so well with a stub like that.

The weird thing is, it looks like the retaining pin was installed skinny side into the hole, or maybe it was a nail....that would have pulled straight out.

That Sprag stub is perfect for a small boxed end wrench for depressing the retainer.

The kick stand was cut and I’m not sure how I’ll get the stump out of the holder. Maybe I can drill the retaining pin out? Any advice would be appreciated.

Next time try this with common tool.

Well a rough weekend for this guy. Dealing with mouse situation in my garage and I hit the frame with 2X clear coat and the paint crackle up. After several sanding and respraying attempts I decided to strip the frame back to bare and start over
