Anyone have a spare set of men's truss rods? Would hate to have to cut these ones down if I don't have to.

Before I forget to ask, can you provide the measurements of the chain adjuster
on the frame? And is the I.D. is threaded or not? Thank you.

Blue: Length= Red: O.D.= Yellow: I.D.=

Hey guys, I know I may get a lot of flack for breaking this up but when you need the parts....you got to find them where you can. Ended making a deal to get this display off of eBay. It has a complete set of the original hardware used on the bike along with the hard to find correct Columbia badge. The remaining parts not used will be available

Should be easy enough. Just start running some for sale ads.

Hi Patrick @WarbirdPatrick

You might want to verify that the badges are not transfers on plain steel backings..

One reason it's not easy to find the embossed badge like you are seaching for is that from (roughly) the end of 1942 to the start of 1944 civilian bikes did not have headbadges, so there are not a lot of civilian equivalents available to use.

Another reason is that the mild steel badges corroded easily.

At one point during the war, some headbadges were applied direct as transfers to the frame, and then the transfers were applied to a mild steel backing of the correct shape. I don't think this backing is embossed, see the photo below. Columbia can be read in the rusted part, but I think this is an artefact of the transfer, not embossing.

I cannot tell if this is the case from your photo, but it's a variation you should be aware of.

Adrian from the pictures that I have they are embossed. Everything on this display is original from early nineteen forty.
