Ok, so I didn't think this frame had a serial number on it, but there were what looked like a few bumps on the very bottom of the frame under the BB. So I figured I would see how bad the bumps were and it turns out there was so much paint in the valleys that the bumps were actually the imprints of the serial number. It reads A31001. Not sure what year this makes it, maybe someone can chime in. What I can tell you is that this is beautiful frame. Straight, no dents and NO RUST! It appears that this bike was an original white paint bike. Comes with BB cups, axle adjusters, seat post and clamp. Oh yeah and the original head badge.

Can anyone confirm the year as a 1938?

I tried to look back for a serial number thread, but after looking through about 20 pages had no luck.
