Bendix had two different actuated 2sps. The first one, the bendix aviation is manually shifted with coaster brake. I believe it was available 54-59. The second (kickback) was available 60-69 with updates in 65.
I am aware of the aviation shifter hub. I have a couple sets but thank you for offering clarity to my remarks especially the years of application. Good stuff! The OP mentioned he has a SA shifter on the bars currently, so my suggestion was that SA didn’t offer a manual 2 speed shifter that Schwinn equipped the corvette with in 58.

Yes. There are at least two sets up right now. Not all red dots are the same throughout the years. Later versions added the ball end because kids were getting injured by the pointed ones. Hence the name. I’m no expert on the Weinmann brakes so perhaps get some clarification from others like @GTs58.

I used the red dot “eye pokers” on my 59 build as well. Back then I didn’t have the CABE resource so I was left to examining photos to work out what I needed for a complete reconstruction. Wasted a lot of money in the process. The CABE ROCKS

How do I know the correct ones for my 58?
This seller did say from a 66.
Thank you all for being so informative!

Here's the lever the 58 would have. Note that it is minus that little oval button and it has the Weinmann name with circle along with MOD DEP inscribed on it.
