Spring: replace or rechrome

Hi
I'm doing a resto 41 DX to the best of my ability and I'm a bit stuck with what to do with my spring...
Does it look like it will rechrome okay? Or should I keep hunting for a replacement? I'm in the UK so hunting for parts is totally dictated by the internet, but through sellers here and eBay I've managed to score NOS truss rods, yoke, cup, AS bolts, head tube bracket. I now just need a shiny spring and long bolt!
I've seen the repop stuff at bicycle heaven but don't see good reports... But are they my last resort?
Any advice would be very welcome.

You should be able to find a replacement in good shape cheaper than a rechrome- unless you have an inside track with a Chromer.

Memory Lane Classics used to have the HD spring used on Whizzers. Give LIsa a call and see if they still have the HD springs.
