Maybe someone can take some measurements, share photos, and make a sketch to share. The wire braces are very weak. Especially the section that attaches to the fender. When I had my bike all 3 were snapped there. Made some oversized plates and welded them to the wires. My NW is gone but it's straightforward and helps the fender mounting

That’s a good idea, I’ll see what I can do

I wish this bike had less silver paint. I really want another prewar lightweight frame and fork. You’re right @SirMike1983 removing the spray paint from my Gramp’s bike was one of the worst endeavors I’ve participated in and I swore I’d never do it again. And is $100 shipping right for a bike without wheels, cranks, pedals, seat…?

$275 to take ownership of this seems too much.

I ended up with the remnants of this 41 New World that came with Coaster rear, caliper front brake, vertical hole badge, locking fork, and deep dark green finish with gold pins.

G75426 is another serial to add to the list at least. Wishing I had tried to make a deal on it now, but couldn't justify $$ for a Coaster model...and I still don't have room!

Edited to add, this bike was definitely parted out...not by me...and these next photos were from before that. All I have is the frame, 3 cups, and a seatpost.

That Hoffman New World looks like it was in really nice shape, especially for pre-war. The only thing that didn't look original was the front brake lever. A shame it got parted out. Are you going to make it a rider?
