Still a lot of metal-work, parts hunting and an uphill battle all the way but i feel like i can see the vision coming to life finally….
I have the airflow rack as well but it needs metal work before it can be installed.

My buddy welded an extension to my original seat post for my Elgin Robin.. Reason being Ive read a few times that these frames have a design "flaw" because of the tall seat post mast, and "taller" people would raise the original posts for the seat leaving a big "empty" space and extra leverage making the seat post tube making the tube susceptible to a possible bend/break.
The big hurdle is that where the seat post tube meets the top tube of the frame..is welded up solid. meaning the "7" seat post tube wont barely go past that top tube..but I took it,tapered it down and it goes into the area approximately 1" so I will have the seat post area SOLID steel . I had to take a few inches off for correct height ,then taper it down some, try it,more grinding, try it...etc,etc.. but it worked out pretty good I believe.
This bike is completely torn down, fenders are at my friends getting welded on/crack repairs..
Did a little more work on the Bullnose paint is polishing up pretty decent. Got a wheel trued up and finally got a fender roller after wanting one for a while so got that all serviced ready to roll some fenders.
Finally got to fix some of the horrible hacks on my Shelby rack and get it bolted up.
Still need to buy some 1” steel flat-bar and build/reattach the front mounting tabs someone removed, but happy to see it on.
