Not sure if the badge "Peerless" was a push from manufacturers or distributors, or a pull from retailers or customers?
Perhaps the old "Peerless" badge without peer (or nonpareil?) came back into fashion, about that time.
Did customers come into a local bike shop or hardware store, saying show me your "Peerless" bicycles, because I have heard good things about them?
Did retailers wire their suppliers, asking for Peerless models, saying that customers were inquiring about them?
I have worked on a 1937-Y Snyder-built DPH "Peerless" bike project from about that time; (like a Rollfast, with a Peerless badge &c.).
