SCARLETT'S Schwinn Cycle was an awesome shop right off the Woodward Ave. M1 Loop in Pontiac, Mi., they had classic Schwinn bicycles on display right up to the end of the Schwinn Dealership closing, bought many bicycles and parts from there at the end.

That is strange about the bow pedals being on these bicycles, all close to the 1982 model year and mine is from Jerry's Schwinn, Detroit, Mi, not that far away🤔

It must’ve been pure hell getting ready for the 1981 model year production after the strike. The strike hit right at the time of the model year change over. All the preparation of ordering stock and getting ready for the new model year was probably delayed due to that strike. The aftereffects probably lasted through the entire year. Then after the 1982 model year production Schwinn handed over the 1983 production to Murray in Oct 1982.
 
A photo because we all like photos, now a question. Did the Cruiser ever come with a 2 speed kickback? I’m thinking of adding one.
