No phone, no stops, no food, horns, mirrors, animal parts, racks, guards, helmets, lights, kickstands, tassle's or any other distractions.(see above BlueStreak bike!) When riding, I use the time rolling to think and plan for the long term so I don't get caught out. Overcast and cool again. Quiet and peaceful ride with no gunfire or troublesome delinquent E~Biker motor-head packs of "children" playing high-speed "chicken" doing wheelies on the River Trail today. 1st time in 10 rides, it is now common: "I've got to get out of this place" comes to mind. 20's Excelsior. 3-spd Driegang/Campagnolo. Not quite sure what to think of this bike, but it rides really quiet with a cool low gear. Something like 20 miles, hour or so after a busy day.. way on top now.

. She had been in Richmond Va. for a couple of weeks helping her sister get her health back after open heart surgery. We rode the course and had stops at the Post Office and Lowe’s to have a key made. We must have rode 16 miles anyway. Super day for a ride!

Get away from the compression Pete.. It’ll be good for your soul brother.
To be clear here your reactions are justified in my world. I take crap from no one. I am drawn to the trouble makers. Gorilla mindset. Ride on !

Another glorious winter’s day and too nice to sit in an office. After yesterday’s debacle I needed a few hours on the pedals. Last night I fitted new tubes and dropped a tooth on the rear sprocket. With 46/19 gears, this stripped down repop rolls along beautifully.

I had to pick up a project for client from being sand blasted up in Berthoud yesterday. An old plant stand that had been painted several times over the years & rusted. She wants it looking nice again. They did a good job & lucky it's an old, well made unit.

It just so happens to be along the way for my therapy session so I scheduled an appointment for PRPPL NRPPL😈 to reconnect.

There was a screeching, skinny legged winged creature nesting in the rocks between the beginner & big tracks. (I don't know what they're thinking. Totally exposed when other screeching, skinny legged creatures that look exactly like them are in the wooded area on the lake or thick brush all around gobbling up bugs.) Regardless, the maintenance crew put up cones to help keep folks away. There are apparently eggs as I got to witness the shift change so the one protecting the nest could get some grub & exercise while the other kept watch over the nest.

Then more rain moved in just after my session ended with a big grin!🤓

I like getting away Fridays because weekends are dedicated to my wife, pup and gardening (this time of year)
Grass allergies also suck this time of year but hey riding a bike is a luxury at 60 !
41’ Colson with 49 badge 🙁 “Clipper” from living room to the wild was my choice today. Corrected a few things… (thank you Shawn @Freqman1) and found it to be a very comfy 19 miles.
Have great rides this weekend gang. I will be reading about your adventures.
