Finally got the serial # on this nice 1961 that I've known about since March of 2022. It's up in Lake Havasu City and they are looking for the correct spoke protector if anyone has one for sale.
@GTs58 I have an April 4, 1962 Corvette 5 speed, radiant green. Looks to be all original except for the tires. I purchased it a few years ago from the original owner here in Indiana. He said that he bought it with his paper route money when he was 11 years old. If you would like to add it to the registry, the serial number is D215966. Thanks.

Wow @COB , you have been hiding this all those years?!!! Nice example and I'll definitely be adding this one. And thanks for all the great pictures displaying all its correct parts! This bumps up the number count on the "rare" Radiant Green examples.
I'll have to tag the new member that's looking for one so he can see all the correct parts on this one.
Just a note. The 62 models showed up with chrome fender braces, seat post, kickstands and seat post clamp. The stem also had the bar cinch bolt at a horizontal position where the 61's bolt angled upwards slightly.
Bought this jewel recently... My 1st 5 speed.. It's in good shape, paint could be better but not bad.. good decals ... Already in registery ... feeln excited... THX BOB
Added this 1961 to the list. Looks like the seat is not the Deluxe Crash Rail seat. Maybe a Panther or Tiger seat? Shifter has a few wrong parts and the S reflector chrome is missing. Drivetrain parts look OG and it has the 61 vertical stem chinch bolt. Some fat brick whitewalls are needed.

I'm not surprised it sold so quickly. It's a very nice original paint piece with all the hard-to-find drivetrain parts. Looks like it still has the blue Schwinn Approved tag on the front carrier too. Those little tags can't be found loose.
