Took out the '86 Stumpjumper Sport. Only did 10 miles today around town (Bayonne NJ), as winds were gusting to 40mph. The "beach" is on Newark Bay, which was the scene of over a century of industrial dumping. The crane is from the former Elco Boatworks, which manufactured PT Boats, including JFK's PT-109. This crane used to lower the boats into Newark Bay, where they had their shakedown cruises.

All kinds of interesting items wash up on the shores here!

Beautiful day in the valley. Midday cruise to our downtown to run a couple of errands. ‘48 Ladies Schwinn DX and ‘36 Schwinn DcBR.

During our road trip up north at the Burley Creek swap last month, Ian wanted to give something to my wife. Thank you Ian @ian for this. She loves the saddle bags. You can’t tell but her bike is originally maroon in color.

Riding these old rolling relics is so much fun day and/or night.

Very nice @Barfbucket.
Also riding a fixie today.
Shakedown run of 10 miles on this new (to me anyway) bicycle.
It's a marque that I'd never heard of before, "Esper", made in Belgium.....

...interesting frameset, zoom in and see the crimped fork blades and chainstays.
Reminiscent of a TOC 'Centaur' from over here, but not quite the same.
Thankfully the rear wheel held together!
It's been re-glued.
