Started the ride off with some trails.
Tried to make it a brief session...too much fun though!
Never thought I'd be able to pick out my tread on a wall ride...let alone see tracks from John's Chain Threads on a wall ride, AND the highest mark of the day!!
Sprouted the Dustache up pretty quick today.
Stared at this firewall left behind in the creek bed for a bit, wondering if that's Dodge green or just moss. Lol
I had been reading signs all day saying there was construction on the path, but held out hope for it being after my destination. Nope!
Destination was in sight! Just a crane, barriers, and a busy highway left in my way. I decided to play a bit of Frogger!
It was well worth it. Pope Lick Train Trestle, built in the late 1800s(same age as cemetery pictured above) still an active train line, and has its very own Legend, The Pope Lick Monster, a half-man, half-goat creature. The creature or Trestle has claimed more than a few lives since being built, hence the legendary status. Perfect destination for a ride in creepy season.
22mi of paved path with inclines(one day I'll measure), with about an hour session in the trails, adds up to 4hrs total time in the saddle today crossing over upwards of 9 bridges and under exactly 2. Lol
Turns out I didn't have to play Frogger after all, but I did have to hop over some mud to pass under the busy highway.
