Great day to ride, 56 miles along OC shore & Long Beach.

Shuttle ride. Left Bob‘s truck in Scottsdale. Started the ride at the dam and worked our way across the rez all the way back to Indian Bend Wash in Scottsdale. Nothing but desert and farm fields in between. Saw only two other people (both on bikes) the entire time on the canal. Guy on a nice gravel bike passed us going probably twice as fast as us. Crossing the busy 87 was “exciting”. 😁

Mount McDowell (aka Red Mountain) is so gorgeous, especially up close. This parking spot at the dam is as close as someone, not a member of the tribe, can get. Sacred mountain.

That's definitely quite the ride. I didn't know there was a shuttle from Snottsdale out to the Granite Reef recreation area.

Rode the ‘68 Schwinn today at the South Los Angeles CycLAvia. The usual thousands of riders were out on a beautiful fall day. Ran into Rene @63caddy and his wife riding their classics, and a few other familiars faces as well. Rolled 28 miles today.

Just realized I did not press the post reply box earlier so here’s Sundays afternoon ride.
Today’s ride, 82 degrees and VERY nice, not cold, not hot. Reporting for riding duty was the 1946 Rollfast for a relaxed 19 mile ride.
As a side note, the Florida Cranes in the picture are a family of three. I remember the baby being very small several months ago. Was reading that mom and dad remain together as a couple for life. ❤️
