What bike did you ride today?

Finally had a dry, sunny day when I felt like riding my latest 'fixie' out on the road.
Most of you will recognise this as being way shinier than most of my other bikes.
It's a 1955 'Maclean' Track model frameset, built up with NOS and some newer components.....

...the frameset was discovered in an old shed at our local velodrome and beautifully restored by a good friend.
Just a 10 mile shakedown ride, it rolls so sweetly.
Super light, super shiny, roll on more sunny days!

It certainly is, plus NOS Brooks saddle, Williams cranks, inch pitch chainring, Milremo rims, Campagnolo track hubs, an unknown French stem, period track bars and chain.
Non NOS parts are the GB brake lever and Weinman brake caliper.
The pedals and wire toe cages are new, from MKS Japan.
She's a beaut!

She sure is. My first road bike was a 531 Raleigh and it rode beautifully. As much as I love road bikes, I’m on comfy cruisers these days due to the arthritis in my neck.

My first road bike was a 531 Raleigh too, back in 1982.
Very sweet frames to ride.
I can't do too many miles on this type of bike either, but it's fun while it lasts!

Happy Saturday!
Cool, breezy morning to ride, 1936 RJ Coral Colson-Tiki Cruiser-Hot Rod.

2 trips to Sunset Beach; fun tail-wind one-way; turn around and fight it back; to turn around and fly again, to turn and fight again for 10 miles.
Fun both ways, for 54 miles today.

Did a late 6 mile ride on the "other" '84 Sierra at the local park. 51F, windy, could hear the planes coming in low to land at Newark Airport. Had to cut the ride short when the Sheriff's officer arrived and closed the park at 10:30pm!

Sunday morning ride around South Oxfordshire.
'Prefer' pictured on Clifton Hampden Bridge over the River Thames, looking towards Little Wittenham.....

...on the homeward leg of the loop, on Dorchester bridge over the River Thame, with the Roman Catholic church of St. Birinus in the background.....

...sunny morning with a little breeze, very pleasant weather for riding.

Great riding weather today; 1933 Harvard, moto bike by Snyder.
Tools and pump in the tank, let's roll!

To the beach for Surf check: "A-Frame overhead barrels, both ways."

Found a log cabin near the park.

Awesome line-up of bikes, great old cars, if ya like that sort of thing.

Riding around after pancake breakfast, decided to head home from here.

Made it home before the rain; 50 miles today.
