What bike did you ride today?

Nice little parking lot ride with the kiddos tonight. Cassidy really likes the ‘new’ 1980s ‘pink bike’. It’s a great stepping stone bike till she can fully handle the weight of her 1949 20” dx. Liam is crushing it on his ‘77 16”. Always a pleasure riding my first real bike find this 1945/6 dx. Good times

Took a brief trip to the late 19th century, probably less than a mile going back and forth in a cup de sac, getting a feel for the bike and getting reacquainted with a fixed gear.

37 Shelby streamline today in fine so~cal conditions. Cool, clear, little if any wind and few people out. Day off or long ride tomorrow? Germany signed surrender papers in 1945, 79 years ago today.

Thanks for the compliment! It is growing on me as not really my style. Yes, bars found in ebay under "crescent-28" or half-moon-28. Two or three options there.

I found this on Marketplace a couple weeks ago and couldn’t pass it up. I didn’t know it existed. The chain ring instead of a chain guard, the skinny wheels and how clean it was. I did some research and I found a couple that looked like it and as far as I can tell it’s all there. I feel like I stole it for $65.00.
