I''m still riding every day, but mostly on the '96 'ORANGE' mtb for work so I don't don't bother to take photos generally..
Yesterday (Monday) I rode this one one for the first time.....

....circa 1900 'G. LEZIN', made in Paris, built almost entirely from the BSA parts and fittings catalogue of the time.
It's built to track racing specifications, as per the catalogue description.
Subsequently fitted with roadster bars and a brake, but still fixed gear.
Rides beautifully.

I was on my way over to the village of Chalgrove for the annual May Bank Holiday festival.
The village where I grew up.
The local Benson VCC were putting on our regular display of bicycle history......

...if you zoom in, there's a very fine selection of (mostly) British bicycles right there.

It was a wet, drizzly day, but still very enjoyable,
and the first 20 miles of (hopefully) many more for me on this lovely, nimble machine.

Beautiful bicycle Darren! With the fine blue-ish tint paint, super cool frame and fork along with the rest, it must be a fantastic ride.~

Many thanks Pete.
It actually looks more grey than pale blue to the eye in reality, but it seems that there may be some real historical significance to that colour.

I have it on good authority that it was often used by professional team riders around the TOC era in Paris.
Considering that this bike is badged as being from a shop that was less than 2 miles away from the 'Stade Velodrome', one of the most famous tracks in France, it may well have a very interesting early history; but we will probably never know for sure.

It does ride very nicely Pete, no doubt those big (700A size) wood rims from Fairbanks (of Bradford, PA, USA) help with that smoothness.
I feel honoured to ride it!

Happy Birthday @soddruntlestuntle ! Glad to see you out riding again.

@Hastings - growing up in the early 80's, my friend Lisa had the same exact Huffy. I haven't see one of those in 40 years!

Did 6.6 miles after work at the local park on the '84 Sierra. It hit 80F today and the humidity was building. Starting to feel like summer. Well, another day closer to the weekend!
