Early fathers day/Birthday ride for me and the boy...His pierce is the same, ...my chainless rider has been upgraded a bit.
Our favorite spots along the lake and around downtown Buffalo, NY ......75 degrees and sunny........great ride.....My friends from out of town ask..... why buffalo smells like cheerios, and why do you have grain towers painted like a six pack of labatt blue....and do you go curling and play hockey in the summer, and drink at german beer gardens?....... And we say........we also ride pierce bicycles.

Surly Krampus and 64 Columbia Newsboy Special

I went for a quick lunch spin, but quickly found out that my usual lunch spot has closed.
Seems to be a lot of that going on lately.🤨
So, I welcomed the blessing with open arms, and rode on down to my boyhood haunt. A place called, Newport Dunes.
This is the place where I learned how to swim.😎
I wasn’t sure what I’d find there these days, but was pleasantly surprised to find a thriving beach resort, with tons of activities for the young and old.
Loved it!
I found a little spot called, Moe B’s Munchies, that had margaritas and cheeseburgers, with a guy on guitar, that could’ve been Jimmy Buffet 40 years ago.
Loved it!
What’s not to like about a beautiful day of cycling with the reward of a cold beverage, some grilled food, a little Dobie Gray. and Jason Mraz to wash it down?

I met a kid from Gilbert Arizona who spends the Summers out here in the RV park, that had the trickest electric motocross bike I’ve ever seen.
Oh, to be that young again, with the toys like that.
Fortunately, he seemed to have a good head on his shoulders, so I don’t think he’ll kill himself on that thing.🤞
Nothing like the freedom of Summer when you’re a kid.
Days like this, is what it’s all about.
Get out there and enjoy life.
You never know what you’re going to find right around the corner.
😎
