What bike did you ride today?

Took my usual cruise to Old Town Scottsdale this evening. They have live music and events going on all the time lately. Tonight they had a Christmas jazz band, and lots of lights and tourists!

I just got this "Cruisin' USA" cantilever BMX cruiser running tonight. It didn't need much. New bars, stem, seat post and seat, and one pedal's bearings were roached. It's got some nice unmarked Araya style rims and a Japanese marked brake. I'm going to put some cranks on it, but it's good for a minute.

It rides sweet! Better than I thought it would. This one's a win!

Cold & snow Friday cleared out for a nice evening for Longmont Lights Parade last night! Bicycle Longmont/Bike Night had a pretty good size group for the festivities as usual.

I found some cool lights to throw on my Elgin for the event & had a blast during the parade & gathering afterward. We have some great parades here & this is always a great way to get in the spirit. Or have some spirits.

Did a quick 6.5 mile ride with the '91 Trek along the Hudson River waterfront but got got caught in one of the early rain bands from the approaching nor'easter. You can just barely see the VZ Bridge as it's swallowed up by the fog. Brooklyn is straight ahead, Staten Island to the right

It is SOOOOooo much fun! Have been doing it for years & always a good time. Tons of people fill the streets to watch & lasts about an hour & half. Occasionally we'll loop back around once we do the route for bonus fun. We have good parades here & this started me crashing the Independence Parade held in nearby Firestone from time to time on my other favorite Holiday. I highly recommend riding in a parade some time. Lots of fun & possible excuse for another bike build!

This morning Bowie and I did our second Ausdauerprüfung or AD Which is an endurance test for German Shepherds that consists of the dog running 20k (12.5 mi) while handler rides a bike. It's one of the many requirements for a Breed Survey required for all German Shepherds under the SV in Germany to be eligible for breeding. We completed our AD and breed Survey back in May under a USCA judge which is accepted in Germany but I've decided to also do a Breed Survey under German judges since she's registered in Germany as well. Most of the working titles transfer but certain portions must be completed under a German Judge.

Today we did it on the '38 Schwinn... in the pouring rain! Good girl!

Happy Sunday! Riding day, to the beach 1st;

Played around with some seat and post combos, and swapped stands around too. Then did some paint cleanup on the stays. After that I headed out for a nice ride.
