Today a longer ride out to a socked-in and cool coast, south a bit until turning inland up through Newport back bay where the marine layer went poof. Then up San Diego Creek into the Laguna Hills. Another fine ride on the 21st Century Hawthorne Flyer in the pocket. Little wind, high 70's. 51.5mi ~ 3hrs 21min. Still running pretty good on the bike at 67yrs old.

Rode this 46 CWC badged Hawthorne for 21 miles today. Had not realized the longer wheelbase on these until getting a hitch mounted rack for my pickup. Speaking of racks I have one for this bike now as well as some curved rear fender braces. I have an open work order on a lot of bikes now ha !

Got the Mongoose Alta out for a spin after servicing the hubs.

Spotted this sculpture...realized that it was wrought iron...look at all of the rest of it around...Kaviar Forge, looks like they have moved to the building just behind the first.

I intended to get out and check out the flooding downtown. This is the pump station I posted about last week...err, the road leading down to it, completely backed up. I wish I could have gotten a picture from the same perspective as last week, but it's all under water!

Mayor didn't know we were getting this many temporary boat docks around the city ..

Came to the skatepark expecting a Skateboard AND Wakeboard type situation. Surprisingly there was only some water backed up into the lower bowl.

I can see the headlines now, "Florida man beaches boat on Louisville, KY's Waterfront lawn!"

Similar trip as last week, got about 25mi in. Easy-NO- breezy this week!!! Probably could have done 50 if I had made it out sooner. Still would have had limited route options with water blocking me from the pedestrian bridge.

I got to spend time at the track with my friend on PRPPL NRPPL.😈 The bike build was inspired by him for getting me hooked on pump tracks. Love this bike & having such a good friend.

This was one of our last rides together before he moves to the southern part of the state at the spot where I got hooked & refer to as 'Roots'. Always a good time!

Got out to Elizabethtown, KY today to buy some bikes. Brought the Alta along to kill some time while waiting on guy with the second bike to get out of work.

About 40min into pedaling, some darker clouds started to form, so I turned back towards the lake and the car.

Hmmm, looks like a great spot for a cult meeting... Lol

I made it back to the car and it started raining, picked the second bike up, and it poured on me and the bikes the whole way home. Hopefully I don't have Moto-grip tomorrow!
