I went for a mid day ride through Chandler on a new route backwards. Hard to tell where I was much of the ride.
The city recovered this box on the corner with new art. Love that they caught my back tire and the heron I saw the other night on it.

Wore out three sets of tires already!
Clear skies, 55 degrees, and a very mild breeze all made for a longer ride day. My normal rides are in the 6-8 mile range, but todays was about 11 miles. Not too bad for a 63 year old on a heavy 2 speed bike. 1st was not working due to a sticky cable and a bad shifter. I have a different style brand new shifter (made by Sturmy Archer for the Nexus 3 speed) on the way with a new cable. I'm going to look into mounting it on the side of the stem.

Happy Sunday!
Went out early, to the beach, and back home,
1936 Rustjunkie-Tiki Hot Rod, now with a Sachs Duo-matic 2 speed;
laced by a friend of bikes&me; wheel-smith/Rider, remaining anonymous, by request.
Rode home and loaded up 2 bikes, for the Old Towne Orange ride.
Electrician tie-downs: Romex! Sweetie made her own tassels, to match her Dayton Sportster.
i didn't notice where the exhaust would melt her tire, and not be able to join the ride; bummer!
So she gets new tires.
Up-Side is riding this home, on the river-trail; so light and fast, compared to some other bikes, i ride.
Much fun today! Great day for it.

Quick 5 mile ride before dinner on the '84 Sierra. Work and weather has been keeping me from riding. Yes, this area does look like the opening credits of All in the Family!

Wore out three sets of tires already!
Spent last week enjoying some winter bug so I was stuck inside while we had some of the warmest weather on record for this area of Canada at this time of year. So, now that the cool weather is back, I’m doing better so out with the bikes! Not much mileage but it was nice none the less.
